More Winnipeg Wedding Photography to enjoy…
Since Jasmine & Vishal’s Sikh wedding last year, I really didn’t have time to blog and showcase the Winnipeg wedding photography from it, but this wedding is too special not to talk about! So, we’re doing it now! This wedding had it all and included many strokes of imaginative genius from this couple who thought of every detail which made their day magical! From the saris to the décor, everything was divine. We started our coverage 2 days before the wedding ceremony to cover the engagement party , the Mehndi Party & Sangeet! They proved to be wonderful events that had amazing food provided by Charisma of India Restaurant. Mmmmm, Indian food!!!! Some of the most memorable moments from each event was during Jasmine’s Choora Ceremony. I don’t know why but I love the photo below that shows the milk dripping off the bracelets before being placed on Jasmine’s wrists over her Mehndi. From there, I headed to Vishal’s place. Vishal’s ceremony went pretty smoothly too considering the weather, didn’t want to cooperate for all of it! However, high winds and rain, were not going to put a damper on his night! The next day – day three -, Brock and I woke up bright and early to capture the ceremony! So happy to have been there for this part of the wedding too! Some of my fave getting ready photos of all time are from this wedding (check them out below!). Though the morning brought rain, we gladly braved the clouds and showers which aren’t an uncommon occurrence for Winnipeg Wedding Photography to endure, to focus on the main event of Jasmine & Vishal becoming husband and wife! Vishal, was that your first time on a horse? If so, you couldn’t tell, your entrance rocked! Next up, the meeting of the two families on the main floor of the temple! The overwhelming support for this couple joining families on their wedding day was awesome to see. Once the ceremony was done and the guests had given the couple well wishes and blessings, we had a chance to head to some prime photo locations to grab some shots of Jasmine & Vishal’s entourage 🙂 Before we knew it, it was time to head back to Vishal’s house for one last ceremony where Jasmine was officially welcomed into the Goyal household. It was simply imitate and touching. We wrapped up coverage for the third day and headed home to put together a Nex-Day Edit for the guests attending the reception to watch and reminisce about the events of the days before that night. OK…so at this point you can say that everyone who attended the weeks events was a wee bit tired but nothing was going to stop the celebration that was definitely going to happen that night! Unbelievably fun, sentimental and entertaining, is how I would describe one of our favourite receptions to cover to date!
