Helllllo Everyone!! So glad to be able to fill you in on everything we’ve been up to this past season! for starters, let’s take you back to the start of 2012 so you can get a glimpse of what we have had the amazing privilege of experiencing. Are you ready to come on this journey with us :)? Good!!!
We began the year with Jenn and Chris’ gorgeous winter wedding which was held at the always amazing Fort Garry Hotel. We started off the day with Chris at his parents’ place where everyone was over joyed with the pending nuptials that were soon to happen. There, we chatted with Chris and his parents as we captured Chris preparing to meet Jenn at the end of the isle. Since we were doing double duty (both wedding photography and wedding videography) we were super excited to use all our new equipment to ensure that everything was exceptionally documented!
Soon after Chris finished getting ready, we headed over to Jenn & Chris’ home. We were met by the sounds of laughter and unbelievable calmness 🙂 Jenn’s closes girlfriends surrounded her and were all ready to tackle this amazing day in any way to ensure that everything went off without a hitch!
While Brock captured some cool video of Jenn getting ready, I began with the detail shots. From the beautiful flowers to the ah-maz-ing dress and shoes, I knew that these special details would all add to the beauty of the day. Capturing all these little details is a must for us to do on any wedding day as it zooms by for the bride and groom and special details may not be remembered correctly or forgotten, but not if you have a photo of them! Switch! My turn with Jenn – I remember thinking about all the delicate touches that a bride wants on their special day and how amazing a time it is, getting ready for your wedding day I mean. A sort of peace was evident on Jenn’s expressions and happieness. Yes, a lot of smiling and laughing that morning!! At this point I was really excited to see the wedding ceremony location at Fort Gilbraltor. Everything and I mean, EVERYTHING, that Jenn and Chris had selected for their wedding was so elegant and perfect! It was just as I had expected, everything was so intimate…so elegant!
It was ceremony time! You could just feel the anticipation on Chris’ face as the bridesmaids walked up the aisle. Soon, Jenn appeared! The look that Chris had on his face when Jenn approached said it all! Once the ceremony was done, we had a small window to grab a couple of shots at the ceremony location before moving to our next wedding photo location. Check out the first quiet moment this couple had that day!
Next we headed to the Hydro Building for some bridal party photos. Always love when the bridal party tells us that out of all the weddings they’ve been a part of the photos we did were the most fun and easiest, they have EVER done! After capturing some special moments for Jenn and Chris, we headed back to The Fort Garry Hotel for more photos of this sweet couple and to capture some fabulous detail shots. The room looked beautiful and it gold accents with the plum motif was such and stunning combination. The rest of the evening was spent literally laughing. From the stories about Chris’ helpful tow to how these two met, unbelievably funny!
Thank you Jenn & Chris for trusting us to be a part of this stunning day. Brock and I feel privileged to have experienced it with you and are so grateful we (as you put) we’re a choice you had no doubt in making. Congrats on your new addition and all the best to you and yours in 2013!!!
